I provide a non-judgemental and confidential space to enable you to explore the issues which have brought you to therapy, at your own pace. I believe that the client-therapist relationship is an essential part of growth and change, it is therefore important that you feel comfortable working with me as your therapist in order for you to be able to get the most out of our time together. I am an Integrative Psychotherapist, which means I utilise aspects of different theories within my practice including attachment theory, object relations, gestalt, transactional analysis, CBT and mindfulness. I am aware that we are all different and therefore work collaboratively with you to make sure that you are getting what you want from your therapy.
I have over eleven years experience working both in private practice and in charitable organisations, offering face to face or online counselling to adults and teenagers with a wide range of presenting issues including but not limited to anxiety, depression, generalised anxiety disorder, relationship problems, bereavement, physical, sexual or emotional abuse, coercive control, trauma, loneliness and work issues. I also have experience of working with gender dysphoria, ADHD and autism. I have also worked for several years providing telephone counselling to children. I have a special interest in how our adverse childhood experiences impact us in the present day.
Please contact me at admin@kirstymurraypsychotherapy.com or 0775 9953798 and we can arrange a free initial consultation to enable you to make an informed decision about whether I am the correct therapist for you.
Any further sessions are £55 per session.
I have a Masters in Integrative Psychotherapy. I am an accredited full clinical member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy, an organisation which regulates counsellors and psychotherapists, promotes high standards of practice and by whose Ethical Code of Conduct and Professional Standards I abide by.
I undertake regular personal therapy with a UKCP registered therapist and clinical supervision with a UKCP registered integrative supervisor, to ensure that I am providing an ethical and effective service for the people that I work with.
